Asspiring to Greatness Points Keeping Guidelines

Open Mule/Donkey:
- Any open mule/donkey classes
entered count for year end. Non-
point and specialty class’s offer at any show will count.
- Owner of the animal must be a
member of GCDMA prior to the start of the show for points to count.

Green Mule/ Donkey:
- All classes with “Green”
designation and one point earning halter class from each show will
count for year end. Note: specialty halter classes will not count for year
end Green. i.e.: color classes.
- Owner of the animal must be a member
of GCDMA prior to the start of the show for points to count.
- At any
GCDMA sanctioned show that is not
offering Green performance classes:
Any points that are earned by a “green”
animal entered an “open” class that is then offered in the green division at
50% of all other shows, that animal will be awarded equal points earned from
that show in the Green Division for year end awards. Any points earned in “open” classes entered
by that animal that are not offered in 50% of the shows in the “green”
division, all earned points will go in the “Open” division. Halter points will go in green division.
- Novice,
Youth Donkey/Mule, Sub Youth:
- All
classes offered in each designated division will count. Only those designated classes will
count.
- Exhibitor
and owner must be a member of GCDMA prior to the start of the show for
points to count.
- Model
Mule/Donkey:
- Mule/Donkey
halter classes to count. No
specialty halter classes will count towards this award. Any donkey/mule receiving a “Model”
title at an individual show will receive one point higher total that the
highest point earning animal in its division at that show. Any donkey/mule receiving a “Reserve
Model” title will receive points equal to the highest point earning animal
in its division at that show.
- Owner
must be a member of GCDMA prior to the start of the show for points to
count.

Open Adult Miniature Donkey
- All open adult miniature classes
entered count for year end. Non-
point and specialty class’s offer at any show will count.

Owner must be a member of GCDMA prior to
the start of the show for points to count.

Green/Pre-Green Miniature Donkey
·
All classes with “Green” “Pre-Green” designation
will count. One halter class for the age
of the animal will count. Specialty
halter classes will not count for this division. For any miniature exhibiting
in both shows governed by NMDA and Texas
rules, any halter points earned for the calendar year will be award in the
Halter Champion category based on the actual age of the animal.
- At any GCDMA sanctioned show that is not offering Green, pre-green
performance classes:
Any points that are earned by a
“green” “pre-green” animal entered an “open” class, that animal will be awarded
the points earned from that show in the Green/pre-green Division for year end
awards. Halter points earned will go in
green, pre-green division.

the start of the show for points to count.

Champion Miniature Jack, Jennet, Gelding, Junior
·
All points earned in designated halter classes
will count. Specialty halter classes do
not count towards this award. For any
miniature exhibiting in both shows governed by NMDA
and Texas rules, any halter
points earned for the calendar year will be awarded in the halter category
based on the actual age of the animal.
- Any miniature
receiving a “Champion” title at an individual show will receive one point
higher total that the highest point earning animal in its division at that
show. Any miniature receiving a
“Reserve Champion” title will receive points equal to the highest point
earning animal in its division at that show.
- Any
miniature receiving a Best of Breed title will receive two points higher
that the highest point earning animal in its division at that show.
- Owner
must be a member of GCDMA prior to the start of the show for points to
count.

Youth/Sub Youth Miniature Donkey
- All
classes offered in each designated division will count. Only those designated classes will
count.
- * EXCEPTION: At any GCDMA sanctioned show
not offering Sub Youth classes:
Exhibitors of sub youth age will be
awarded any points earned from that show in youth classes towards the sub
youth division for year end awards. Providing that the exhibitor
demonstrates the desire to maintain their sub youth status.
- Exhibitor
must be a member of GCDMA prior to the start of the show for points to
count.

Ties will be broken by number of shows attended

Number of first place
Ø
If exhibitor/animal points still result in a tie
after two tie breakers, duplicate awards will be presented. Based on budget availability funds allotted
for award may be split at committees decision.
