First and foremost, GCDMA would like to thank ADMS for allowing us to put on the National show again this year, and also all the exhibitors who came out in support of the show, and made it a great show.
There are getting to be more shows around the country these days, and as more people become involved with showing, we also see a “raising of the bar” in competition. This is what really makes showing fun and exciting. The more we show, the better we get, etc. This has become very evident by the number of newcomers who appear out of nowhere, and surprise everyone by WINNING! Long gone are the days of knowing who is going to win at a show!
This years ADMS National show had all the RIGHT STUFF! A wonderful facility, which continues to be a crowd pleaser, a great judge, Coral Bowman, vendors, concession, wash racks, a perfectly groomed arena, overnight camping….really everything you could want in a facility, including fantastic service. Our vendors this year were Horse of Course clothing, J & D Mules and Mini Outfitters, the ADMS booth, Central Harness and Tack and Animal House Creations. We had exhibitors from everywhere, including New Mexico, Canada and Florida. Awards! The awards this year were just beautiful, and seemed to please everyone! We were once again blessed to have the Conroe
4-H club assist at the show, performing such duties as Ring Stewart, Awards presentations and Gate Keeper. These kids do a great job, and deserve our appreciation. And of course the GCDMA staff always does a super job. GCDMA would like to especially thank those who assist at the shows, like Marion Sohl, who gives his time to see that everyone gets their stalls and shavings, and whatever else is needed, Kathy Schmitt, who takes care of our sponsors, Gerald Morton who jumped in to lend a hand with obstacles, and Larry and Paula Jander, who always help anywhere they are needed. To top it all off, we had Sarah Hall back as our show photographer, and as always, she did a wonderful job with her unique backdrops.
We have listed all the ADMS National Champions in this article, but it is important to mention that there are a lot of top quality animals and exhibitors at this show, and just because an exhibitor didn’t win a championship, does not mean they are not worthy of recognition. This is why we list the complete show results on our website.
Most important of all, we have heard from so many that it was a really fun show, and very well organized. It’s very rewarding to hear a good report from our exhibitors. Once again, thank you all for your support!
